The easiest way to get to the ferry location in Tuvesvik, 5 km from the campsite, is by car or bike. Bikes are available for rent at our golf kiosk.<\/p>\n

For example here on Orust: H\u00e4lleviksstrand with its beautiful red wooden church, or Moll\u00f6sund where you walk among old quaint houses on narrow streets and you buy fresh fish and seafood from the fishmongers in the small harbour.<\/p>\n

In Kl\u00e4desholmen, on Tj\u00f6rn, you can visit the Herring museum, and learn more about the history of herringfishing and the life of the fishermen and their families.<\/p>\n

Hiking on Orust <\/span><\/h2>\n

From easy walking trails near the campsite to more demanding trails, <\/span><\/p>\n

Orust offers hiking for everyone.<\/span><\/p>\n

When you want to stretch your legs around the campsite, there is a choice between the Blue Trail<\/strong> (4 km forest path\/gravel road), the Orange Trail<\/strong> (8 km slightly more mixed terrain with both meadow, forest and coastal nature) or the White Trail<\/strong> (approx. 2 km), which goes via the Dogbeach to the rocky beach. Maps of the walks are available in the Tourist Information hut, or you can borrow them from reception.<\/span><\/p>\n

Huseby hiking trail<\/strong> \u2013 about 10 km from Stocken campsite. The trail is 3.5 km long and runs along steep forest paths in parts, but also offers amazing views of the Bohusl\u00e4n archipelago from the top of Huseby\u00a0<\/span>ancient hillfort<\/span>. Ruins of stone of old farmsteads appear along the way and not least Orust\u2019s \u2013 and perhaps Bohusl\u00e4n\u2019s \u2013 largest beech forest by an ancient seashell ravine. Whether you choose to just go up to the tower and then down again, or continue along the trail’s 6 km stretch and read about the 1800s living conditions for the people who inhabited the area at the time, it is an excursion to remember: Hike to Sven’s Altare, Orust<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/4″][vc_single_image image=”3385″ img_size=”medium” css=””][vc_column_text css=””][\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]“Orust across” \u2013 Part of the Bohusl\u00e4n Coastal Trail<\/strong><\/p>\n

The trail’s 44 km runs across the island of Orust, from coast to coast between Svanesund and \u00c4ng\u00f6n, passing a number of natural and cultural monuments along the way.
